Student Experience

Student Information

While academics will be the cornerstone of the knowledge you acquire in the Strome College of Business, there will be numerous opportunities to engage in experiences outside of the classroom. Undergraduate students may participate in professional and service-centric student organizations, complete internships, and engage in other activities that will enhance your academic credentials and increase your success after graduation. Take advantage of the numerous opportunities to engage with our alumni through lectures, career days, and special programs such the Executive Mentor Program. These have immense value in helping you find "your place" in the world.

Masters' students will have opportunities to engage in projects directly with the business, non-profit, or government communities. Doctoral students may participate in activities such as the Dean's Research Seminar, providing critical experience in presenting your scholarly work.

Applicants for admission to any of the majors in the undergraduate degree program in business administration (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - BSBA) should apply initially to the Office of Admissions of Old Dominion University. Students cannot be accepted into business administration without first being admitted to the University. Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program. Candidates for admission to the BSBA program should indicate on the application to the University their intention to enter the undergraduate business administration degree program.

Admission to the BSBA degree program is a two-step process. Students must first successfully complete Step 1 Admission requirements and be certified as having done so before undertaking the requirements for Step 2 Admission to the BSBA degree program.
